Well, it makes sense to make specifically those races (dwarf, elf, eladrin) into human sub-races. I would still play as them.

What about the halflings? Would they be a small human variant?

Midgets! More efficient to ship.. require less food.. Good for tiny worlds, with tiny furniture.

I'm unsure how I want to work in halflings at this time as midgets tend to be closer to dwarves as far as build goes. I may consider them as some sort of near-human discovered in a star system.

Just so nobody is surprised, I'm revamping the history of this setting a good bit so there is no point in reading it anytime soon as its still a lump of fresh clay to be molded.
